- 전 세계적으로 염증성 장질환의 발병률 급증. 소아에서도 마찬가지
- 6세에서 16세까지의 소아 크론병의 발병률이 20년간 10만 명당 3.09에서 6.61로 증가
- 우리나라에서의 건강보험 심사평가원 자료 분석 연구에서도 소아 발병률과 유병률이 모두 증가하는 양상을 보임
